The Bruce Trail is a world famous foot path that extends over 800 km from Niagara to Tobermory. On the Bruce Peninsula this trail offers spectacular views as you hike above Georgian Bay along the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. BRUCE PENINSULA NATIONAL PARK:
The Bruce Peninsula National Park is a short drive from Summer House Park. The beautiful Grotto near Cyprus Lake is a must-see as well as a walk through the Parks Canada Vistor's Centre in Tobermory and a climb up the observation tower. Day passes are available for you to explore a number of excellent hiking trails or join in one of several educational presentations and interpretive hikes.

1. Bruce Peninsula Orchid Festival- The Bruce Peninsula has 44 orchid species, several ferns and other unique flora such as the Dwarf Lake Iris and endangered Lakeside Daisy. Join this festival and join in the exploration of our amazing local plant life. Festival is held every spring, the first weekend in June.
2. Peninsula Bruce Trail Club's Outdoor Festival- Each fall the local Bruce Trail club and Parks Canada host a fun-filled and educational weekend celebration with guided hikes and special guests.
